1 clove garlic, chopped
3 slices ginger, minced
1 scallion, chopped
1½ tablespoons oyster sauce
1 tablespoon soy sauce
½ teaspoon sugar
2 teaspoons cornstarch
¾ pound filet mignon, cut into 1-inch cubes
1 tablespoon peanut oil
¼ pound sugar snap peas, trimmed
8-10 mushrooms, quartered
Combine garlic, ginger, scallion, oyster sauce, soy sauce, sugar and cornstarch in a bowl. Add cubed steak. Mix well and marinate for 15-30 minutes. Heat peanut oil in a wok over medium-high heat; add mushrooms and cook for 45 seconds. Add meat mixture and stir fry 1-2 minutes; add snow peas. Mix well and heat through. Serve with hot cooked rice. Serves 3 to 4.
